Look—I love a good business book. But I also love nuance. History. Cultura. Softness. Fire. The things most mainstream biz books leave out.
So today, I want to share a few things that are feeding my spirit and shaping how I show up—in life, business, and leadership.
Because when you’re building a values-driven business, you need more than tools. You need voices. Mirrors. Maps.

1. Borderlands/La Frontera by Gloria Anzaldúa
A foundational text. Raw, poetic, and still teaching me how to move between worlds without losing myself.
2. Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde
Every essay is a masterclass. I revisit “The Uses of Anger” at least once a quarter. Especially when I’m called “too much.”
3. Big Friendship by Aminatou Sow + Ann Friedman
Friendship as a radical, strategic, sustaining force? Yes please. Also, the clarity they bring to rupture and repair is unmatched.
